Mapon is on the lookout for a Data Scientist to join our team and play a pivotal role in taking our solutions to new heights. As a Data Scientist at Mapon, you will work closely with our development team and clients to analyze fleet data, identify optimization opportunities, and create groundbreaking tools and algorithms that enhance daily operations and improve fleet efficiency.


As a Data Scientist at Mapon, your primary focus areas will include:

  • Analyze large datasets of fleet data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize fleet efficiency, driving behavior, and other key performance indicators
  • Leverage cutting-edge techniques in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Statistical Analysis to solve complex problems and drive innovation in fleet management
  • Conduct experiments and A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new tools and algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that address client needs and challenges
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and fleet management technologies
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product and Product Owners to deliver groundbreaking solutions to our customers.


We are Looking For:

To excel in this role, we're seeking candidates who possess a strong passion for data science and analysis, coupled with a desire to continually learn and grow. Having a background in statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, data science, or machine learning/AI, we're looking for individuals with an analytical mindset and a knack for problem-solving. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and data pipelines (ETL)
  • Knowledge of databases and proficiency in SQL
  • Strong business-minded problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
