The Great Attractor was founded in July 2012, when casual metal band realized that they want to play something that differs from hard and rough music that they were playing. Till April 2013 band was just experimenting with sound.
At this point new member in face of guitar player Arthur joined us and style of The Great Attractor was finally formed. Post-rock is almost the genre that could describe band’s sound. But the correct formula listener will find himself.
Our music consist of half singing, half mooing guitars of Mihail Azarov and Arthur Heavens which are supplied with highly energetic drums of Anton Vysotsky and smooth, vital rhythms of Vladislav Jusenis. With our music we are trying to express the duality and ambiguity, which has place in everyone. Magic and disappointment, beauty and ugliness, evil and virtue, are the pillars of life, and of our music. Those who heard our music live will understand what this is about.
Currently we are busy with performing in local events, creating new material and recording of our first album. Also we are interested in other forms of art and in collaborating with different artists like painters and filmmakers.
