Shady atrodas Anglijas ziemeļu rietumu daļā, konkrētāk Liverpulē. Grupa kopā spēlē gandrīz jau 10 gadus. Grupa spēlē dažādu repertuāru. Pārsvarā grupa spēlē tautā populārus gabalus, bet grupai ir arī ļoti daudz orģinālu dziesmu ar kuram grupa piedalās dažādos festivālos pa visu Lielbritāniju. Visvairāk šo grupu var dzirdēt Liverpulē.
Ikdienā grupa spēlē četru cilvēku sastāvā, bet ja grupa gatavojas kādam festivālam vai lielākam koncertam grupai uzreiz pienāk piektais spēlētājs, taustiņnieks un tas esmu es.
Ja vis labi sakārtosies, tad šo grupu jūs varēsiet nākamo gadu dzirdēt ari Latvijā.
Šajā vasarā grupa gatavojas sākt strādāt pie jaunā albuma AG Sound studijā (Manchester)
Col is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the band. He has a phenomenal energy, a wicked sense of humour and a loud voice. Col's guitar solos are rapidly becoming legendary, as people beg him to stop and get on with playing the next song.
It's a combination of Col's searing vocals, manic guitar playing and total enthusiasm that keep the crowds on their feet.
Lead guitar and backing vocals are provided by Pablo, who often becomes so engrossed in his playing that he forgets to move. Or smile. On several occasions during lengthy solos, fellow band members had to check for a pulse to make sure Pabs hadn't expired.
As he says, though, 'I'm not bored - I'm just concentrating' and the formidable playing is worth the mental effort.
The funky bass sounds of Shady, along with more backing vocals, are provided by Dean. He manages to rock it up despite sharing Col's bizarre obsession with Chas & Dave. Although stuck in the rut of bass superstardom, Dean hopes one day to fulfil his dream of being a cockney chimneysweep - a part for which he already dresses.
Dean's excellent fretwork and brilliant harmonies provide a solid foundation for Shady's huge sound.
The booming drum section is provided by Al, who hits the skins so hard that normal drumsticks shatter instantly. As a result, Al has to use specially made titanium sticks with a diamond core. He only breaks 3 or 4 of these a gig. This is also the reason why there's no point talking to the band members. They can't hear you. They're all deaf.
Al's furious playing holds the band together, and his drum solos are a sight to behold.
