The rapcore/alternative band “MadFish” was founded in year 2009, after the break-up of band “Divide”. Igor (drums) and Vladislav (vocals) decided to continue playing together, changing the style and the band’s name. Alexander (guitar), Mikhail (DJ), Nikita (bass) and Ruslan (vocals) became new participants of the band. The September 3rd, 2009, is considered “MadFish” birthday – this day the band has performed its first gig in Riga’s DEPO club. In the beginning of 2011, Vladislav and Mikhail left the band and later – Ruslan and Nikita. These guys were substituted with Leo – ex-vocalist of Punk-rock band “Freelancers”, cheerful and talented vocalist Eugene and bass player Iļya – the ex-participant of the band “Cloverfield”. In 2013, ex-guitarist of the famous Latvian band “Otherway” Stanislav was invited to join the band as a second guitarist. All these changes were a benefit for the band. “MadFish” continues to work – their first EP, which release was delayed due to some different reasons, is finally ready. Recently band presented their first music video for the song called „Put Your Hands Up”. „MadFish” songs contain social protest and calls on brave fight for personal success, values and leading position in the society.
Today, “MadFish” is considered as one of the most promising Latvian bands. The band has played many gigs in Latvia and Baltics, and played together with artists like Celldweller (USA), The Vendetta (ITA), Raskar (RUS), Digital Digital (EST). MadFish also was the participant of „Metalshow – 2010” festival.
