Having taken into consideration the recommendations which were pointed out by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai during his visit in October, the detailed studying of basic technique , Kata ,Bunkai were included in the training. Kumite techniques were also studied for the preparation of the championship of Moldova coming up in December. There was a grading test at the end to finish the seminar.
Before the tournament there was a judge seminar to improve the refereeing qualities.

There were 4 training sessions in 2 days with a free day in between where participants went to the beach and mountains. In the morning of the last day there was a Kyu Test from 10 to 3 Kyu.

The 45th All Japan Open Karate Tournament was held on Nov.2nd and 3rd at the Tokyo Taikukan.Top fighters from Japan and oversee, a total of 128 participated in the 2 day open weight tournament.
Syouki Arata(JAPAN) and Goderzi Kapanadze(RUSSIA) withdrew due to injury but young upcoming fighters from Japan and Russia put in some exciting performances to make the tournament alive. Kyohei Ajima (JAPAN), last year's 6th place in this tournament defeated current champion Alejandro Navarro (SPAIN) in the final to became the All Japan Champion of this year.

340 European junior members from 18 counties participated with Kancho Shokei Matsui and Shihan Katsuhito Gorai overseeing the championships.
IKO Poland celebrated the 40th anniversary of its establishment and Kancho Matsui presented memorable medals to all IKO Poland representatives at the Sayonara Party.
On October 27th, approximately 90 members enjoyed Kancho Matsui's Training Seminar.

The third Kyu Test of the year started with Kihon, flexibility, push-ups, Ido, stick jump, hand stand, ball kick and Kata. After the Kata participants separated into youth and adult to take the Kumite and written test.
At the end BC Kim gave a few words to the participants - "By taking this test you now know what you need to work on and things you can't do, so from tomorrow train hard at your respective dojo so you can achieve it at the next test".

Kancho Shokei Matsui led the camp, assisted by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. The first session was attended by approximately 70 youth members, who trained hard under Kancho's guidance. Kancho also treated the youths to his reflections on growing up in Kyokushin and his training methods.
On the second day, two sessions were held. The first one was geared for all ranks and ages, and the last session was for advanced students only. Kancho covered everything from basics to fighting techniques and approximately 500 participants participated in the invaluable and successful weekend intensive in Quebec.

150 best fighters of Russia - the winners and awardees of regional competitions in the country competed.
