Education USA Information and Testing Center (EITC), located in Riga, is part of a global network of 450 information and testing centers. EITC, the only one of its kind in Latvia provides accurate, unbiased information about all accredited U.S. Higher Education institutions. EITC provides also access to materials needed to prepare and study for entrance examinations, as well as offering courses for preparing for these tests.
EITC is the only official representative of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) of its kind in Latvia, and regularly administers TOEFL, SAT, GRE, SLEP and TOEIC tests in Riga.
Grants by the US State government and partnerships with the American Embassy have led to the organization of many programs and projects, as well as assisted in the establishment of a comprehensive library containing books, catalogues, information materials for the various entrance exams. Each year EITC receives over 12,000 requests for information!

In order to receive information on study opportunities in U.S. you have to:
sign up for the informative seminar, where overall, accurate and unbiased information on U.S. Higher education system and application procedure for colleges and/or universities will be provided. Seminars are held 2-3 times per month, on Fridays 16:00 or 17:00 at Skolas street 11. You can sign up for the seminar via tel. +371 67089800 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
After the seminar: if you have decided to prepare and apply for studies in the U.S. two options are available:
- you can sign up for the individual consultation with educational adviser Dagnija Žiba, Monday-Friday 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. (length of one consultation is 30 min)
- visit the library (resource center) and prepare for the tests, select and explore colleges and/or universities etc. individually. There is no appointment needed to visit the library. See library working hours.
